Sign the Petition
Signature Sheet on Postage-Paid Self-Mailer (Download, Print, Sign & Mail)
In 2007, Oregon law was changed to allow registered voters to print initiative and referendum petitions from their computers, sign the petition and then mail the petition back to the chief petitioner of the measure. The goal of the "E-Petitions" is to make it easier for citizens to get involved in the electoral process.
Below are several rules that you must follow to guarantee that your signature on an "E-Petition" is counted by the Secretary of State.
1. Only registered, active voters can sign the petition. Not sure if you are registered to vote? Contact your county elections official, (usually the county clerk) or visit www.oregonvotes.org to see if you are registered.
2. The only person who can sign an "E-Petition" is the person who actually prints the "E-Petition".
3. If you have already signed the petition to Protect Oregon Homes, do not sign the petition again! It is a felony to knowingly sign a petition more than once.
4. The self-mailing electronic petition just requires your signature, name, date and address. Once filled out, simply fold the form into thirds and mail the petition sheet. It's that easy.
5. Included is also the text of the measure. Please feel free to print off a copy of this measure for your review. If you share this E-Petition electronically, you must include the text of the measure.
6. If you make a mistake while signing the petition sheet, do not cross anything on sheet out. Just make a note of the error on a separate sheet of paper and send in the petition. Protect Oregon Home's trained staff will work with the Secretary of State's office to correct the error.
